Through user-defined rules, TrayThis can perform certain actions on any running application window or notification icon. A rule defines which action should be applied to which window or notification icon.

For example, you can define a rule that will hide an e-mail application (e.g. Mozilla Thunderbird) to the taskbar notification area (system tray) when the window is minimized.

TrayThis defines two types of rules, a window rule and a notification icon rule. Each rule contains a set of identifiers to determine which window or notification icon is to be acted upon, the action, and the criteria for when the action will be performed.
